Welcome to the portal of Tranquebar Bishop Manikam Lutheran College. We are grateful to God in our odyssey towards excellence in academic pursuit. The college is a co-educational institution run and managed by Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church. The long cherished vision of Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church was translated into reality by the establishment of this college on 19th June 1972. The college was named after Late Rt. Rev. Dr. R. B. Manikam, the first Indian Bishop of the church.
In our quest for excellence, resting on strong academic foundation and seeking to mould the young minds to become competent and explore the unexplored, the onward journey of T.B.M.L. College is remarkable from the first milestone to the present one. The college offers countless opportunities for students to take part in all sorts of co-curricular activities and community service to broaden their exposure and insight.
In a bid to empower the rural students especially the first-generation boys and girls to inculcate their abilities and escalate them through quality education the college pays more attention on the development of the individual through personal care, mentoring and counselling which become the unique touchstone of our college. Our efforts for academic excellence are always enriched by the calm and clean environment, dynamic spiritual surroundings, the passion for extracurricular involvement, the charm of value based campus life and the warmth of our academic community.
