About the Department

The Department of Physical Education at T.B.M.L. College plays a significant role in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork among students. The department is dedicated to developing both the physical and mental well-being of the student community through regular sports activities, competitions, and awareness programs.

With well-maintained playgrounds, indoor game facilities, and a modern gymnasium, the department provides excellent infrastructure for training and practice in a wide range of sports and games. Under the guidance of qualified and experienced Physical Directors, students are encouraged to participate in intra-mural, inter-collegiate, university, and state-level tournaments, earning laurels for the institution.

The department also organizes annual sports meets, yoga sessions, fitness awareness programs, and coaching camps, helping students cultivate discipline, confidence, and leadership skills essential for their holistic growth.

The Department offers a variety of facilities and organizes sports events throughout the year:

  • Outdoor Facilities: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cricket, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Ball Badminton, and Athletics Track
  • Indoor Facilities: Table Tennis, Shuttle Badminton, Carrom, and Chess
  • Gymnasium: Equipped with modern fitness and weight-training equipment
  • Regular Activities: Annual Sports Meet, Intramural Competitions, Yoga and Fitness Sessions, Sports Camps, and Inter-College Tournaments
  • Health and Fitness Programs: Workshops on nutrition, exercise, and stress management to promote holistic well-being
