Admission Procedure
At T.B.M.L. College, the admission process is designed to be transparent, student-friendly, and merit-based, ensuring equal opportunity for all eligible candidates across academic programs.
General Steps for Admission
Eligibility Criteria
- UG Courses: Pass in +2 / Higher Secondary or equivalent.
- PG Courses: Pass in the relevant UG degree with qualifying marks.
- Diploma Programs: 10th pass / fail or +2 as specified for each course.
- M.Phil.: Pass in a relevant PG degree with a minimum of 55% (as per norms).
- Ph.D.: PG/M.Phil. in a relevant subject with minimum qualifying marks and university entrance clearance.
Submission of Documents
Submit the filled-in application form along with the following:
- Recent passport size photographs (3 copies)
- Photocopy of SSLC / HSC / UG / PG mark sheets (as applicable)
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Conduct Certificate
- Community Certificate
- Aadhar Card copy
- Eligibility Certificate (if from other states or universities)
Merit List & Counseling
- Admissions are based on merit and as per the guidelines of the affiliating university and government reservation norms.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling and document verification.
Confirmation of Admission
- After verification, selected candidates must pay the prescribed fees within the stipulated time to confirm their admission.
- Admission is provisional until university approval and subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria.
Application Form
- Candidates can obtain the application form from the college office or download it from the official website (if available).
- Forms must be filled in block letters, with accurate academic and personal details.
Special Considerations
- Priority is given to first-generation learners, economically disadvantaged students, and those with rural backgrounds, in line with the institution’s commitment to inclusive education.
- Scholarship guidance and fee concessions are available for eligible candidates.
Reservation Policy
Admissions are made according to Tamil Nadu Government reservation norms for SC/ST, OBC, MBC, and other categories.
Note
- Admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs is also subject to entrance examination, interview, and research guide availability as per university guidelines.
- Submission of false information or incomplete forms may lead to rejection or cancellation of admission at any stage.
